Seasonal DIY Immunity Shot Recipe
Immunity shots seem to be everywhere these days, and at £2+ a pop, it’s no wonder we’ve decided to take matters into our own hands. In this recipe, we’ll tell you all you need to know about DIY ginger immunity shots, and how to get at least two weeks’ supply for the cost of one shot at your local supermarket.
It’s no secret that ginger is known for both its healing and immunity boosting properties. For centuries, ginger has been lauded for its wide array of benefits, from alleviating nausea to its anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects. Add in the fact that it is simply delicious, and we’ve got the perfect starting point for our immunity shots.
Lemons come next, also known for their immunity boosting properties. With high levels of vitamin C, as well as antibacterial and antifungal properties, its often the first thing that comes to mind as soon as flu season rolls around. Incidentally, lemon and ginger are a flavour match made in heaven, sure to deliver a zesty and refreshing, yet warming punch.
And finally, if you’ve followed our recipes for a while now, you’ll know we can’t resist a seasonal twist! Another favourite flavour pairing for our beloved ginger is the pear. We recently found ourselves with some leftover from a pear and ginger crumble, and figured why not add them to our latest batch of immunity shots. Not only is it a tasty addition, but the often-overlooked fruit is packed with vitamins C and K, as well as being a great source of potassium, folate, and antioxidants.
