gwafuvegan x Eat Well Supper Club

Gwafuvegan is collaborating with Eat Well  it put on a flavour packed plant based supper club celebrating Cameroonian cuisine. This is part of Eat Well’s – Do good Festival

21st to the 27th October - A week-long city wide fundraising festival!

Founder and chef Ngwafu is pulling out all the stops for her biggest supper club yet! Showcasing the best of Cameroonian cuisine. West African flavours using the best of British seasonal ingredients.

Over the summer Ngwafu has been honing in her chef skills, foraging knowledge and food growing knowledge. You will experience natures honey from pine cones Ngwafu foraged and fermented over months to a home fermented vegan crème fresh. This is plant based cooking elevated, putting the planet first without sacrificing on flavour. See the full menu below.

You will get a welcome drink on arrival. A none-alcoholic option of Ngwafu’s home brewed seasonal kombucha.

Accessibility information: Please note due to the location The Bungalow at Kampus is only accessible by stairs and has no lift or ramp to get up into the building. Assessable toilets are located at either Nells pizza or Kampas reception building (back down the stairs and a 30 second walk across the courtyard).

Snack

Black eye bean tofu with a Cameroon pepper and fermented pinecone glaze, puffed red rice and pickled wild garlic capers

 

Starter

Ekwang dressed with vegetable xo oil topped with pickled shallots

 

Main

Party Jollof rice topped with suya grilled mushrooms

 

Dessert

Golden Puff puff cake, fermented elderberries and whipped tigernut crème fresh
